    Jacket Conversion

I took a $5 coat from second hand store and converted it to a kilt jacket.

Thanks! Actually, your photo from the Tweed Ride inspired this outfit.

Well done, indeed! What material is the jacket? I'm guessing it had a single vent in the back. If so, did you close it and open two, one on each side? Just curious. I like the sporran, and I like the gray bonnet. Overall a nice look. Where did you get the cromach?

    Hi Allen,
I can't find anything on the jacket that tells what kind of material it is. Probably a synthetic. It had a single vent and I just sewed it shut. I made the bonnet myself and the cromach is from XMarker @Thomas H.

I thought I recognized your work Thomas. I'm not there yet, but when I finally get ready to get a cromach, you will hear from me.

    Hi Michael,

I was thinking from the look of it, that the jacket might be synthetic. You made that bonnet yourself; I'm impressed. Is it wool?
