    Your Tartan

Following on from David's (Freelander Sporrano) recent poll of number of tartan / non-tartan kilts we own, I was wondering which tartan each of us feel most affiliated with, whether by name, sept, district, military, or whatever. But to keep it simple, nomination limited to just one.

My own case it's MacNeil of Barra - that's now in the lead by one vote!

    tartan...

Wow, narrowing it down to just one...

I would have to say for me it would be the Cumming Hunting Ancient, which is also the Buchan District Tartan. It is the primary tartan I wear at present, and represents my two great-great grandparents who immigrated from Buchan & Aberdeen in the late 1860's. I am also the Missouri & Arkansas Rep. for the Clan Cumming Society.

    Cheers,

    T.

    Hi Alan

Good to see you're still contributing.

Mine is Ancient Davidson of Tullock and I just have the lonesome 1. The second is still on the cards but I cant decide what. Still pondering the Scottish Rugby Union Tartan

Same here. My first kilt. My first tartan. It's beautiful and has much value now emotionally.

Dubhghlas. Long live the ol' Black and Gray. We are shadow, we are mist. We are the grim spectres of death, the promise of vengeance, and the blade hidden in the dark. We are the purging fire, the black flame, a force of nature. We are wise. We are cunning.

    Jamais arriere.
