I have three pocket watches with chains. One was my fathers with his "initial" Fob, another one was an uncle of my Step mothers, with a small fob on commemorating a curling Bonspiel win in 1905, and the other watch was given to me about 50 years ago by my step mother. The silver locket I use as a fob, was a locket my father gave my mother, it has teeth marks on from my twin brother and I chewing on it when we were "teething" ......I have a curl of my daughters and a curl of my wife's hair inside it..........I never thought about a vertical button hole, for the chain cross bar ......I really like that idea. I'll have to see what my wife can do about that

Thanx for posting the photos, I took one of my waistcoats in to the tailors today to have the vertical button hole installed. She is just a young gal and gave me a puzzled look......I had taken my watch and chain with me anticipating the query. She said the vertical button hole was very clever,... you don't see that on waistcoats for young people these days because they seldom carry a watch and chain........$5.00 and I pick it up Tuesday ......, depending on how it looks and works I may get the other waistcoats done as well......Thanx again
