Besides my "Aye!" to Father Bill's, allow me to concur explicit, The Art of Kiltmaking is the best resource I know on the subject (not that I know much, but).
While you're making up your mind or waiting for its arrival, I would give as free advice to spend some time in Dr. Tewksbury's website. You will find, for free, the addition to the book regarding box pleats, and also the color pictures for the book (mine came in black-and-white, which, as a self published author, I fully understand why the edition I received was not in color, it would have been oh so expensive!) and much more useful info. The link is right there to your right...
