Well, I guess I need all the frilly stuff to get people's eyes off of the frickin' 13" blade on my belt (the Foxhunting crowd will want to play with it!)

The kilt and Fly Plaid are the County Donegal District Tartan, BTW

Thanks for that, KiltedHuntsman! It's a very striking tartan.

You'll have to let us know how its received by the "horsey" set!

    Cheers,

    Todd

There's no beating the Montrose when it comes to "formal". It makes the Prince Charlie look positively mundane. Well done.

My Montrose, in bottle green, was tailored for me back in the late 1970s and, sadly, I grew out of it totally about ten years ago. I replaced it with a Prince Charlie, which just ain't the same animal! Last month, I ordered a new single-breasted GT Doublet whilst in Edinburgh - which means I can wear the jabot and cuffs again (but not with just a white T-shirt underneath, as I did with the Montrose 8) )...... Bliss!

Where on "Earth" are you, by the way? USA, UK, where?

    Kilted Huntsmen,
The whole outfit is great. Don't let anyone tell you different.Ive never seen anybody wear the formal attire . It's about time someone brought it back, the only thing that I'd like to see is if you had on the great kilt to go along with it.
I would also like to know were on "earth" your at too.Though it is kinda funny reading.

Thanks for all the compliments. I was just wondering if anybody here ever wore such an outfit to a formal event and got some static. I think I'll keep some small pieces of PVC pipe in the sporran to show the smartasses who ask where my Pipes are.

BTW, I live next to Philadelphia.
