I lost my cool
:x I had a situation yesterday where I lost my cool.:x
I'm standing outside a hair salon, speaking with the manager about work she wants done to her premises, she's a nice lass who seemed pleased to see me turn up in a kilt.
Then two big redneck guys walk past and one said "I hope you're wearing something under there".
Well I've heard this countless times, but this time, when I'm speaking with a client, well I was annoyed.
What right did he have to speak to me in such a way?
I just replied (angrily) "don't be so rude, I'm speaking with a lady". flippin idiots they were!!!
I guess I was more annoyed 'cos they interrupted my conversation with something which is none of their business, I wish I'd had a chance to educate them properly.
I know, I know, that's all part of wearing the kilt, I'm used to it. But just once in a while, I get caught off guard.

Well Graham, you didn't handle that so badly. Personally I'd have probably said something like "I hope somebody slaps your mama for neglecting to teach you decent public behavior and manners"

Graham, I doubt that anyone would begrudge you such a chivilrous comment. I'm sure most of us (I know I have) have acted less composed in similar situations.

Hello Graham:
There was a term that was used to describe such individuals at one time and I think it applies here to these young "gentlemen ?" -- Ill-bred. I hope their manners improve.
I think you did well, very well indeed!

I would have said, "Didn't your mother teach you to respect women?"

I don't see where you lost your cool...
I probably would have laid them low for doing that to me. I think you kept a level head.
Yes, I need anger management.

That was a cool thing that you did and said Graham. Some people need to understand manners. I said the same thing one time when I was talking to someone else and was interrupted by rudeness. That was done in my life before kilts.
You did well Graham.

Graham even in the heat of the moment you remain a gentleman. You could of handled it a lot worse but you didn't.

I hope that the day my temper boils over, I speak and act in a manner like to what you just did.
