Some great ideas, thanks...wish I had more room in my place.

I hang my sporrans from their sporran straps from a clothes tree...but then I just have the two Freelanders so far...

How about a coupon organiser for flashes.

you should be able to find these at the dollar store or even the grocery store maybe. I don't think I'd pay $4.00 for one

I keep a lot of misc kilt stuff in shoeboxes. You can store flashes around the hook of your kilt hanger. Good way to keep matching kilts and flashes together.

Thanks for that, John. In fact, that is what I used to do when I had only a couple of sporrans. Now, I barely have space to hang the kilts let alone any sporrans!

That's a good idea Rocky, this is a great thread, it's made me think about doing more to organise my kilt gear.

I was thinking of the old tie rack things but then I remembered Ikea.
As far as sporrans, I only have three, one I keep with my old kilt, the other on a coat rack and the one from R-Kilts, on a chair by the door because it gets used every couple of days.

Check out the hat and coat stand on this page from Ikea and also look at the "hooks and hangers" link on the upper nav menu: http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...86&cattype=sub

Do none of you chaps have a floor to keep things on?

Actually for the flashes/garters: a regular wire hanger as supplied in their millions by cleaners: then bulldog clips.

For sporrans just lay them on the hat shelf of the wardrobe-with the kilts below on clipped skirt hangers.

Almost the same set-up for my sporrans! I used 6 brass drawer pulling knobs instead of wooden pegs. 2 Freelander sporrans, 2 Celtic Empire sporrans and two knob for belts. I also hang the sporrans by their belts.
Flashes get tossed on top of my dresser to lay as they fall. The socks straighten them out when I get around to wearing them.

I bet a teacup tree would make a great flashes holder. Or maybe just put some cup hooks on a piece of wood.
Ideally, a secret switch, ala Batman, with a revolving wall. On the back side of the wall would hang all your kilts and related items, from fly plaids to flashes.
It's a tad finicky for my needs but I thought I'd toss the idea out there.
