Glad you had a good time and were not caught by the dreaded updraught on the Camden escalators: which can raise the heaviest kilt to waist level.

However, in my experience, when they forecast snow, it usually does not come! We've not had a decent snowfall (more than ¼") for many years in these parts .
Actually, we're getting a lot of snow and wind right now. You're looking good, both of you. I had imagined Hamish as shorter and Derek taller but, there you go. Are you wearing a skean dhu?

One thing that I noticed was that while you were posing for the pictures, no one in the background looked like you are unusual. It was a very natural time and the picture of both Derek and Ham points that out, you both look so happy and comfortable.

    Great job both of you.

James ... Luckily we did not experience the Camden updraught that you mention. There were one or two updraughts at other stations but nothing worth worrying about.
Ranald ... I've worn my Cilt around London many times now and have never, never, had any problem with the 'locals'. Sure you get stopped and asked questions from one or two people throughout the day, but that is just par for the course. In fact a lady on one of the tubes asked Ham and myself if she could take our picture, which she did. As my wife explained to us both after .. 'I can't take you guys anywhere'. Also just around the corner from Paddington Station in a little side street is a pub which is usually full of local people. We always go in there and have a beer before we go to the station. Again I stand at a crowded bar with the locals and just have a general chat with them. No one there has ever mentioned or commented on my Cilt.
