I've done quite a bit of walking on the C&O. I've also done a little bit of the AT (about 10 miles in MD). I have found that while I can walk among the best on the level, uphill really kicks my tail. I guess I need to work on that.
I find the volksmarching is a good way to keep track of my progress and to earn little rewards (pins and such).
One day, after I don't have to worry about working for a living, I would like to walk across the US, kilted of course.8-)
