    Well, back to the topic...

I have several choices for the weekend of 3/17, and I still do not know what to wear. I have both the HOE County Laois and a USAK Marton Mills County Laois Crest. I also have a USAK Ireland's National and a Stillwater Irish National (2006). Where to begin...

On 3/18, I am marching as drum major for our fledgling FD/PD/EMS Pipe and Drum band...no band uniforms yet and only a few trained musicians. I will most likely wear the County Laois traditional with my fire uniform shirt, badge, etc., unless I expect it to be too warm for marching.

As for 3/17, I will have to narrow it to the Ireland's National or the County Crest Laois tartan...

Two days to celebrate and too many kilts to choose from...like that is a bad thing...LOL

I have a nice saffron on order from Bear, but I don't think it will arrive in time for this St Patrick's Day. So it will be my Gordon.

If you must have a kilt solely for St. Pat's and don't want to spend a lot of money, the "Ireland's National" from USA Kilts might be the best way to go. That's just one suggestion, but good luck with your decision.
Somewhere a long the line I got sort of confused. My apologies . I have stillwater on the brain. Heritage is a kind of ripoff as a few lines were changed to avoid prosecution. Stillwater was n ever in question. I jumped in without looking. No hard feelings I hope.

    Michael,

How can there be hard feelings? This board is like family. We can b&*^h and yell at each other as much as we want, and it only means we are family and comfortable enough to share our feelings and opinions. Maybe that is one of the strengths of kilt wearing and this board. We are confident enough to share or opinions, but secure enough to listen to others and vocalize if we disagree.

    Cheers!

Didn't want to start a new thread, but I was curious what color hose folks have worn with the SWK Irish National Kilt. Mine arrived yesterday. I've got Black, but wasn't sure if that was too dark, or pipers white. Or I can just wear black socks pushed down with my black docs.
