How are they for thickness? I've found that every manufacturer makes their hose in different thickness. The thickest can be uncomfortable in well fitted shoes and the thinnest show the elastic garter or flash.

I have four pairs from this manufacturer and they are good middle-weight socks. I dyed one of my off-white pairs with Rit dye and they took the dye very well.

Kilt hose arrived
My four pair of kilt hose (for about $20) arrived yesterday from W. Brewin & Co. and I'm wearing one pair today. The are a little less thick and not as long as some others I've bought, but seem well made and comfortable. They came quickly, but airmail and the shipping was only about $10.
So far, I'd say a very good source.

I have just sent my second e-mail to inquire where my kilthose are, the first e-mail was not answered.
The companys claim was that they had sent my order on 03-28-06, does Royal Post take this long?I have ordered and received kilt jackets in less than three weeks. Has anyone had any problem with orders from these folks? Or were the deliveries on time? ( I know "on time" is relative but I had to ask).
Thanks,
Chris.

Hmmm.
Just had a package from Kiltstore in Scotland via Royal Mail to my remote town in Arizona, mailed on 5/2, received on 5/8. Six days.
Don't know anywhere with slower mail service than my little town. So, maybe something went astray.

I ordered the four-pack of this a while back. Ended up taking something a bit over two weeks to get here, almost three in total. *shrug* Royal mail for ya. Judging by the postal stamps on it, the hold-up was in the UK, not on the trans-Atlantic part, or the customs here in the US. But...
The hose are fantastic. Comfy, hold up well even without flashes, and look great. Especially considering the price, they're a real bargain. I will most definitely be ordering more from them, sooner or later.

I, too purchased a four pack. They are comfortable and seem to be well made. With the quick response I recieved from them, I will definitely purchase more in the future. This is what I love about this place. With all of us looking for great deals, we get excellent tips like this one. I'm definitely ordering some hose from these folks. I'd had lovat blue in mind for a while.

Well, I'll give it one more week and then if I don't receive them or get an e-mail from them I'll contact VISA.
Also, it seems that they charged me a VAT tax and I asked them about that in my first e-mail inquiry , was anyone else charged a VAT tax? I was under the impression that they don't charge VAT tax to American customers.
