Wink The fireplace is great; so's your kilt!

Rex, Welcome to XMTS. You wear your kilt well, but take care, this could be the start of something big!

Welcome aboard and enjoy the company,

Thanks much, but it's already too late. I have three casual kilts in my closet and three on the way. Next year I hope to add a traditional wool kilt in MacGregor tartan.

    Regards,
    Rex.

Thanks, Adam. Did I read correctly somewhere that Nicholson's offers the first pint free to kilt wearers? Let's have our own kilt night sometime, eh?

    Regards,
    Rex.

    heya Rex,

    welcome to the forum.

you wouldn't happen to be a fan of classical music by any chance - say a requiem by good old wolfie???

"Dies ire, Dies Ila, solvet seclum, cum favila teste david cum ancila...."

I am a sometimes choral singer, and I do enjoy classical music. My favorite requia are by Fauré and Duruflé, however, neither of which has the Dies ire movement in it, that I can recall. My moniker comes from the music, indeed.

    Regards,
    Rex.

Welcome Rex. If you get a kilt night set up, let us know. Adam & I have tried a couple of times. Are you going to be at Carrollton?

I sing with a chorus that just performed Mozarts Requiem that has that Dies Irae refrain (apologies for the bad spellings) and also a "Rex Tremende" - which i now have bouncing around in my cranium - DAMN YOU REX - DAMN YOU!!!

Will be doing Carmina Burana in June which will be even more fun!!!

hhhmmm... with all the pipers & other musicians on here we should form a virtual kilted chorus .... hhhmmm.....
