20 metres is about 65ft - which, if it is double width would mean six kilts, about 7 yarders to me -

Or maybe a box pleated kilt, two 'full' kilts, one pleated to the sett and another pleated to a stripe and still three good kilt lengths left.

I have quite a few pieces of non tartan fabric where I have bought a bolt and then taken the kilt lengths all in one rather than cutting 54 or 60 inch fabric in half. It is a luxury not to have to piece together fabric to get the length required, so I have done it a couple of times now.

I think if I put all my fabrics together it would be frightening - not the cost of it, just the danger of avalanches.

you could also make one great kilt which would double as a Circus Tent!

I purchased 20m (House of Edgar has a 15m minimum run) because I have several people who want to buy some of the material--- and they can't afford the minimum order on their own (although I really went over my own normal financial limits doing this). I have other plans for some of the material as well (i.e. my fiance wants a sash made for our wedding) but the rest of it is already spoken for.

Yes, I suppose a total of five 8-yard kilts could be made from the 20m run, or 10 4-yard box-pleated kilts, or even 8 5-yard knife-pleated kilts.

Is there a difference between the House of Edgar and Edgar of Scotland? I have my one Craig Ancient 8 yrd from Edgar of Scotland and it cost a pretty penny (for my wedding).
