Streetcar
It's such a beautiful story my eyes are tearing up.
Congratulations on the good fortune of having chosen, or been chosen by, the right lady!
Now, don't mess it up!

Now time for me to brag a bit...
Same situation here...our 22nd anniversary a few days back and I came up with several presents (thanks to Schultz for suggesting one of them. We're both very pleased...thanks buddy! )
Anyway, she hadn't gotten me anything assuming that I hadn't been shopping for her. "Weren't you talking about a new kilt pin the other day?" she queried. "Indeed I was" says I. A few keystrokes later and the new X-marks kilt pin is paid for! Hooray!
And with this post I become a warrior! Cry Freedom!!!

Wow, what a nice story! Happy tenth!
Now, I know all you married guys are just bustin' to print Streetcar's post off and show it to your spouses, for the sake of inspiration. The problem is that you had better get that ice, or else no dice.

Congratulations on both occasions being involved. My wife and family bought me an 8 yarder for Christmas last year and it was the only thing I really wanted.

Congratulations Streetcar! That is great. See what good things happen when you don't expect them!
