Well I'm back in one piece after the day out chaparoning women. Six went in the end as one of the ladies started going down with 'the bug' during Friday and wasn't feeling to good.
We set off at 8am on the bus to Newport. There was an international food fayre going on so that took up the hour we had to wait for the next bus out. We then set off for Usk, a lovely small quaint town. There was a farmers market and most of them bought a little something. It did'nt take much to get them to come and have some liquid refreshment even though it was only 10.45am. Heres a pic.
We then got the bus from Usk on went on to Monmouth .. a very historic town. They were all hungry by then so I took em in a nice little watering hole I know for lunch. Another pic.
We did'nt have much time left after so made our way to get the bus that would take us to Chepstow .. again a very historic town. Here's a pic of us all just before going through Archway into the town.
We eventually got back at 8pm. I must say we all had a great laugh from start to finish. With regard to my Cilt and the general public .. not one negative comment all day. I had several fab conversations with people due to it and the Landlady in the last pub we went in in Chepstow was from Glasgow and was so pleased to see a Welshman in his Cilt, gave me my pint of Wadsworth 6x for free and came out the beer garden and chatted for about 15 mins. I took several pictures of the scenery from the bus as well as others and have put them under 'Show us you Pics' if anyone is interested in looking at them.
Today we go to a BBQ at Lesleys .. I shall be Cilted again.
