Sounds like you got a great deal NancyMan. I generally don't think the discounts offered by S&D are deep enough, considering that the items are either used or damaged.

Depends if was a larger size, beer gut cuts, a discontinued color like that one, or if it was a truly original original, with pleats all the way around (collectors item?)...? And shipping's pretty high from utilikilt. I bought a couple of slightly used ones from the scratch 'n dent, and they're nice in that they have been washed and worn so that the stiffness is out.

Well the basic reason this one went for so much is probably because it is the Navy Blue UK (I know the pic looks black, but the description says blue). Navy UK's (as well as postal blue) are not available on the web site. You can only get one at an event. If there are no events near you (or even if there are, the two blues are still very rare on the rack), and you really want this color, you pay what you have to.

On the other hand, I just saw that Denim and Cammo are back available on the UK web site as is the white workman's (online ordering is still disabled though).

yea not like they are 1/2 price, I'd rather pay an extra $20 over the S+D list price for a good new one.
