I'll second the "thank you for serving". Stay safe and come back when you can.

Probably not what you want to hear but welcome back to active duty. Take care, hopefully the time will pass quickly.

    Thanks to all

Thanks to all of you posting; I am posting this from sunny, no, make that a very wet Ft. Jackson, SC. Now undergoing refresher training - so i know which end of the rifle to point down range - and in-processing, will be here for another week and then on to Ft. Riley, KS for my duty station. I am here voluntarily, so no regrets on my part. I feel sorry for the kids that have been called out of IRR despite their having served in the sandbox at least once before. Some are taking it well, others not so well. At any rate, there are a number of us old retirees that have volunteered and it has been fun catching up on what's new. BTW, my wife tells me my Irish American made it to the house, so i will get to see that on my way through Iowa on the way to KS. Think i might take it along, hell they celebrate St. Paddy's day in KS don't they? Anyway, thanks again, and i will get back on the net sometime the week of 10/23, i hope.

My IRR was finished last fall. The Air Force or Army wouldn't take me back now, even if I volunteered. Too many tattoos! Oh well...

    Take care of yourself!
