Greetings Improv,
I'll be talking to the owner of the Moonshine in the next few days. I'll find out if he has another kilt night planned.
Cheers,
Rick

Monthly Kilt Nite
The folks at the Moonshine (http://www.themoonshinecafe.com/) are considering a monthly Kilt nite in the hopes of boosting business. They asked me what night works best - Saturday or Friday?
So I am asking for your input. Would you consider supporting this? Which nite would work best for you?
Let me know, and we'll get things rolling.
Cheers,
Rick

Sounds good!
I don't have a huge preference... I work straight days, Mon to Fri. It would be easier to get out Saturdays, but I would make the effort no matter which night it is! I have a friend who plays there from time to time... hopefully the nights will coincide!

I'll have to check out the Moonshine Cafe on my next trip through - they have a great music line up.
I was just in Burlington and Oakville a short time ago. I won't be back up that way till spring, but I do love it there. When I'm in the GTA, I'm kilted about 1/3 of the time (I spend a lot of time at the Oakville marina, and kilting on a sailboat is not always a great idea. Especially regimentally kilted.) and I've found another good place where it's very comfortable to be kilted and that has great food (and beer) is Emma's.
Maybe I'll catch you guys in the spring.

Kilted in Niagara Falls
Keep us informed of any kilted nights close to Niagara. I play a folkstyle/country/easylistening guitar for my baritone voice. If ya want some Scottish songs or other music, just holler. I work till 10:30 Friday nights near Cassablanca, so Saturday nights would probably be a better choice for me.

Kilt Night Update
Greetings Kilted Ontarians.
John, the proprietor of the Moonshine cafe (http://www.themoonshinecafe.com/) in Oakville, would like to promote a kilt night on the first Saturday of each month. So that means the first one will be December 2. That's just over two weeks from now.
It is an open mike establishment, and the performers are often quite good. If you are a player, feel free to bring your ax and join in.
This is an opportunity to promote our own brand of non conformity, so I hope to get a good turnout.
See you on the 2nd.
Cheers,
Rick

On my Calendar
I've posted December 2nd on my calendar. Even if I have to work that Saturday, I should be able to make that night. I'll do my best. What kind of music do most people play, sing? Scottish? Easy Listening? Easy Rock?
