We have to remember Pour1 and Big Dave that cavaliers didn't wear kilts - if they had there is no doubt that the outcome of the English Civil War would have been very different!

I bought the boots and hat over the Internet, and commissioned the doublet, breeches and cape from a friend. I bought the rapier at the fair. I have no idea what came over me. Next month I will probably look at all that stuff and wonder, "What was I thinking?"
As for my lack of kilt, well, let me just say that made-to-measure stretch velvet breeches have a certain, um, "regimental" feel to them, if you get my drift.
There were plenty of kilts among the revellers on Saturday. I saw one UK, a couple Clan MacTablecloth kilts, and one or two great kilts, but most of what I saw on people was pretty good. The rags that one of the vendors tried to pass off as kilts were an embarrassment.
