Did the TSA steal my kilt pin?

You did not happen to have the problem at Detroit did you? You don't have to answer, just let me say this. I have never had ANY problems except in Detroit. And I have never been throught Detroit that something was not stolen or damaged.

My US airport experience is limited to Newark Liberty, La Guardia and Buffalo but pleased to report no problems experienced with them.

Keeping fingers crossed and touching wood for this Friday when I fly from Cardiff to Edinburgh though!

Looks like my sporran has met the same fate on the journey back from Boston.
Seems crazy that we can easily spend an hour in a security check que but our luggage can be interfered with behind the scenes

That would push me over the edge. As I said of the TSA luggage locks, they will not prevent this problem, but they will alert you the moment you get your bag. And if the indicator is red and there is no TSA tag you call airport police right away. I think such a theft is a felony because of where it happened.

I can not tell you how bad I feel for you.
