Page 27, right column, last sentence: "shaper"? Typo or undefined jargon?

Good eyes - should say "sharper" - that's one typo that I didn't catch. There aren't many, but it's impossible to catch them all!!

Awesome work! The artistry needed to create such a beautiful kilt amazes me.

The only real difference with the 2nd edition will be a chapter on box pleated kilts (written with Matt Newsome), and I'm going to have a bunch extra of just that chapter printed up so that people who own the first book can buy just the box-pleat instructions separately for not much $$ and stick into the back of the first edition.

Thanks, Barb
I too have just ordered a copy of your book (from Matt). I'll need to add the extra pages later.
But when I see the quality of your work in these marvellous pictures, I do wonder if I am just being stupid to even think of making my own. Congratulations!

Whether you make one or not this book is still part of one's education and makes one appreciate the level of detail and craftsmanship that goes into a well-made, traditional kilt.

I'd like to second that, Turpin. I still harbor the idea that someday I'll make a kilt. Until then, Barb's book has taught me much about what to look for and look out for in a kilt. Its a must have resource for any serious kilt wearer.

I don't own it YET. But, I feel the exact same way. It seems it would be an essential resource for the kilted.

I need that book as well. I have a few books about kilts and kilting in my Amazon wish list. For me, if there is a book on something I am interested in, I have to have it in my library.
