My wife and I went to "Scottish Hogmanay" at the local pub at 4 pm (midnight in Scotland) on Sunday. They had the Sir John A. MacDonald pipe band, some dancers, and a first footing gift (coal, shortbread, and a dram) for each guest. Of course I was kilted. I didn't get a pic, but I wore my Watson Ancient (the same I had for Hopscotch Big Mikey), with brown boots, hose down, and my incredible new Freelander held up by the new sporran belt from rkilts.
Later in the evening, I changed in hose up with brown oxfords, but kept the rest the same.
A great night.

Raph., you know better than to ask ME this question! Of course, I was kilted (as was my good friend Jim, who was staying with me for a few days) and if I was not kilted, I'd be naked - I've nothing else to wear!!
We were invited to my immediate neighbour's house for an Indian supper and a wee glass of wine each with which to toast 2007 on the stroke of midnight. Jim wore his gorgeous 'Isle of Skye' and I wore my equally gorgeous 'Bruce of Kinnaird' - both full 8 yarders and both from Geoffrey (Tailor) of Edinburgh. Sorry, but a camera would not, I think, have been welcome so I did not take it.

I'm back from the highlands of Northwest Illinois. Haven't worn pants since December 20. For New Years I took the family to Chestnut Mountain Ski Lodge for their New Years Bash (I taught skiing there 30+ years ago). They had the Family Bar and the Hard Partyers bar going. I bounced between the two. Got some great comments on the kilt in both. One lady came up and had her boyfriend take a picture of the two of us, so I pulled out my camera and had him take this one for me.

I think she was just a bit "on the go", as this was post-midnite.
