As an added incentive to be... damaged? clumsy? I'm recovering from foot surgery, so I have a tendency to crash pretty easily anyway.
Yesterday I crashed into a filing cabinet. Luckily I caught myself with my face.

Did the splits on ice? Yeowch. I hope not all the way, I shudder to think.

Close, but not all the way, thank goodness.
These tales are all things that I can envision.

Last month I was at a formal brunch for the Hibernians. When the State VP got up to do the ceremony I spun my chair around like anyone would do and the leg broke. I ended up on the floor in who knows what condition. After a couple of "Are you OK" type questions, the next thing I hear is: "Ladies, divert your eyes, he's wearing a kilt!" It came from a good friend so I didn't care but it was hard to take. It all happened so fast that I'm sure there was no flashing but it's hard to live down amongst friends. That little distraction will stay with me for awhile. It's just bound to happen at some point of kiltedness.

As one who is horribly clumsy and awkward, I can tell you now this will happen to me any day. I fully expect it, and am preparing myself for the consequences.
P.S. Awkward is an awkward word to spell...

Let's just say I'm more... limber... than I was before. (And not necessarily in a good way!)

Well I can honestly say that its never happened to me. But I don't have a kilt yet either. But I know it will happen such as my wife predicted and i know she will be laughing so hard she will be in tears.

It's not happened to me yet but as I am er....rather coordination challenged I'm sure that it is simply a matter of time.
Oh well. It adds a bit of zest to life.

True Story:I was having Dinner with friends in the USVI St. John at an outdoor restaraunt our table was elivated on what becomes the stage after 9:00 pm. My back was to the audience. I was wearing my typical evening tropical attire, sport kilt with sandals and a T shirt.
A very curious tree frog jumped on my lap. I slid my chair back in surprise and the rear legs slid off the edge. Well as you expect, I went **** over tea kettle. Full view of all patrons.
It was the only night I had not gone reg. the entire week. Thank heaven.
I can't even tell you why i decided to wear unders. The kilt gods were smiling down on me i guess.
