I found a Casio Pathfinder that I like. It has a feature that tells you the best fishing time in you area, but what I like is the alarm. It has a vibrating alarm. I was a gunner/chief of section in the heavy artillery while in the service. In the past few years I've had cell phones going off in my ears, so the vibrating alarm makes it really nice.

Going by an aging memory here but think I've seen in a lot of Scottish goods catalogs that you can buy watches with tartan faces or family crests on the face. No clue the quality of the watch.
My watch has had so many new bands and watches over the years I'm unsure what combination I have now.
Sort of like the old antique seller's story about George Washington's axe, "Well, its had two new heads and three new handles, but that is George Washington's axe."
Ol' Macdonald himself, a proud son of Skye and Cape Breton Island
Lifetime Member STA. Two time winner of Utilikiltarian of the Month.
"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."

I love watches, but I'm a big fan of mechanical movements. Just never could get really excited about a battery powered quartz timed small electronic device on my wrist. If those were the only watches, I'd likely do like a few of you said and rely on my phone. I wear an automatic Seiko daily. I had a Rolex DateJust, which was a marvelous piece, but loss of job forced it's sale. I actually think my next piece will feature a hand wound movement. There's just something about a well regulated all mechanical timepiece that has always appealed to me. Like any machine, they have a certain personality or character that I just find absent in electronic devices.
Here's the Seiko:

And here's the Date Just:

I agree about the Omega, one of my favourites. I have sevral automatic watches and a case that keeps them wound and I have 23 yo Concord that my parents gave me that I love because it is one of the super thin watches. However on most days I just have my Times Expedition on my wrist, I haven't been able to kill it in the kitchen yet.
