It is happening!!!!!!
Yes we are still looking for interest.
Come for the five day Traditional Kiltmaking course taught by Barb,
or
come just for the two day Kilt Kamp festivities.
We still need a Casual Kiltmaker to show tips and tricks when working with machine made Tartan and PV. (Rocky, are you interested?) (Bear, Wanna come?)
Matt, I will be contacting you soon about coming a lecturing on the subject of your choice.
Alan H. has expressed interest in coming and helping people who would like to try their hand at an X Kilt or Jacket conversion.
Then there is the Big Kilt Night. To be held at the Fernwood Inn just across the street from Freedom Kilts. Dinner, music, family friendly but with a good bar and seating for everyone.
Don't forget the City itself. Victoria is a beautiful vacation destination. And because it's Canada your US dollars go further up here.
Cost has not been nailed down yet, but we know we will need to charge a minimal fee to cover Barb's expenses and possibly an honorarium for Alan and Matt.

Wait - Alan, Barb, Matt and you in the same place? If I wasn't interested before (which I was), I definitely am now. I'll just have to see if anyone else at work wants that week off - we have competitive bidding for leave.
Good thing I have seniority.

Please remember that nothing if firm right now.
Barb still needs to get a work permit.
Alan may have another commitment.
Matt hasen't said yes or no.
I think I may be here, but then again perhaps that would be a good time for me to visit Hamish.

Well... I'd love to go, but I like being married more. That's the week our baby is due, so I'll have to hold off until 2008...

I would like to attend for the five day workshop.
Does anyone know if those of us in the US need passports now to travel to and from BC? It seems like I read that something changed regarding travel to and from Canada.

Yes, you will need a passport.
It's not so much entering Canada, it's getting back into the US.

I'm interested. Let me know as plans solidify.
Frankly, any excuse to spend a week on Vancouver Island is worth persuing.

Steve, I need a vacation.
Are you the keeper of the guest list, with advance reservations required? Or do we just show up and crash this party?
My passport application was turned in two days ago - only six to eight weeks left now.
Do we need an entirely different kilt outfit for each day? Or just one kilt for the entire weekend? (Oh, wait... what to wear after falling down in the gutters? )
This is gonna be fun!
