Well thank you all for your kind comments!! This kilt was my first 16oz tank and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. It and my new Isle of Skye boxpleat are going to have to share space and wearing time.
My one surprise is that no one commented on the Orange shirt or the black hose. I have some lovat green Lewis hose on order with Matt that I will be pairing with the kilt (when the come in) and ancient red flashes that will eventually be replaced with a pair of the new garter ties in extra long length.
Back to the orange shirt, it actually matches the orange stripe in the kilt really well. (Orange stripe in the kilt you say! Where?) In the attached pictures. I am particuarly fond of the pleats to that orange stripe!
Here is the front apron of the kilt (excuse the wrinkles, it is laying on my bed awaiting steaming)

And the pleats to the stripe..

yeah they are, ive had one for a couple of months but its still amazing, the only problem ive been having is tucking the apron down when i sit, the pleats are so heavy it pulls all the fabric around sometimes, and if i dont pay attention i accidentally show off more than i wanted to...
