Can you even imagine how different things might be today if we (Americans) had responded to terrorism like the Scots?

Read some of the articles in The Scotsman, basically except for these people, the security system failed.
This makes Glaswegians sound like a race apart from the rest of Scotland - in my experience you will find feisty, "have a go" folk all over. As to the security system - how far can you extend it? Airports all over the world have had drop off and pick up zones by the entrance, millions of such vehicle movements every year with no problems until now. If you stop vehicle movements near the airport you create travel chaos and if you restrict airport access to public transport what guarantee is that?

The instances are not exactly comparable, a plane in the air and a car on the ground are somewhat different things.

article in the paper yesterday, as the terrorist was dragged from the 4x4 he was on fire one weegie was heard to say to the firefighter "let the b@stard burn" - only in Glasgow, sadly ther have been reprisals against muslim owned shops etc. which is a shame, these terrorists are messing with the wrong country, in Glasgow a softly softly approach consists of smiling whilst administering a Glasgow kiss.
