Congradulations on owning a masterpiece ! I did not like the waiting either, but it is well worth it for the quality kilt you get when it is done.

I think Matt's lead time is not that bad a wait, myself. Some of my customers have had to wait more than two years (took too many orders all at once a couple of years ago). Of course they are not buying kilts, either, but that is irrelevent. Hand made goods take time, and it is good in our era of instant gratification to have to wait for some things. A nice reality check, IMO.

But smile and celebrate the arrival of your new kilt, and wear it with pride.
