Yeah Livingston if you know any good Kilted or otherwise interesting Colorado events for which a Kilt would be appropriate you should definitely let me know. Its about a five hour drive to Denver from here in Rock Springs but I'm heading out there for StarFest on April 18th and I've got my fingers crossed that I can get a kilt before then. And hey I'll call Grant 'King of Kilt Checks' all day if his advice remains good .
Thats unfortunate to hear Chrome but it turns out I was looking at the Thrify and simply used a synonym without realising that both existed. I suppose I could try to put a few more pennies in that direction. It sounds like the Stillwater brand is pretty popular. Is its quality significantly higher than other Kilt providers or is it just their unusually good prices?
Well I'll be curious to hear more about your early exploits as well then. Once I actually get the Kilt I think I'm going to need some good peer support to get me wearing thing outside of fantasy and nerd events. If somebody else here is doing it at the same time all the better.
So refreshing to find a place where people utilize proper grammar and syntax.

As you read through the posts here, you'll find out that ALL events are appropriate for kilts.

Please, don't encourage him.

While Stillwater kilts are certainly not traditional, custom-made, hand-sewn Scottish kilts, they provide a great product for a great price. And the shipping time is outstanding. I have a few Stillwaters and wore them quite a bit before I started buying my traditional kilts.

From the Mts. of Utah
Hay Rock Springs is not London but it is a lot bigger Than Coalville, Ut. We do have at least one Bar and three gas stations.
The thrifty's from SWK are OK if you sew down the pleats about 7 to 8 inches. If you can wait and save you will like the standard but your will Love the heavy weight. Just make sure you get some heavy wool socks (Hamilton Dry Goods, ask about the Merino wool,http://www.hamiltondrygoods.com/sock.html ) and your feet will not get cold.
