Ted - I detect a commonality to your posts. You are obviously a man who loves his food.

I've made many, many people very hungry by babbling on and on and on about food. Like cinnamon, butter, and honey on giant oatmeal cookies... I usually only eat one meal a day, and it's usually the same bland rice dish, though. I like sampling little bites of different foods here and there, and think about what might taste good all the time.

Anyone use Amazon.com to order Marmite and other hard to obtain foods (in the States)? I even saw Branston Pickle available! I'm tempted to use it, but the shipping is killer. The lowest price was for a 125 g (4.4 oz) jar for $5.99 and shipping was almost as much. Is there a more affordable and recommended online supplier for Marmite? Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, never mind! I discovered that Wegman's carries Marmite as well as Heinz beans and sponge pudding!

I haven't found it anywhere either, but I haven't looked very much. I might give up on the marmite.

Marmite is carried at Harris Teeter in NC and I've also seen it at Cost Plus World Market.

If I come across a jar, I will get some. If I don't find any, I will not buy it for fifty dollars a jar on the internet.
