My preference (in winter) is for one of those really huge fur hats... you know, the Russian ones. Kind of gives you that bearskin look.

I did see one of those three cornered pirate looking hats the other day...
Still think a giant sombrero might work with a kilt...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

You mean like those tricorned hats? Those are pretty cool.

Exactly, a black tricorned hat... It was at the Ren Fare.
I think all helmet wearing with kilts should be done with leather kilts. Especially those mohawk helmets... I think DSM was talking about those somewhere back there. Those go with the box pleated leather kilts.

I've only felt that way about Glengarries. That, to me, screams "piper!" But Balmorals do not... unless maybe they had dicing.

Well you'd think that such a twerp would have noticed you weren't wearing flashes or a sgian dubh. But do men go up to other men and tell them that they can't wear a fedora with jeans? And you might have asked him what he was doing staring at your 'sporranal regions.'
