Yes, this would be nice. I was torn between the two companies prior to ordering my new kilt. I would like to hear how they match up to each other.

In a related vein, when I wore the Clergy tartan recently, I wore a fly plaid from SK with my kilt from FC. There is a noticeable difference in the brightness of the colors, which can be seen in the photo I posted in the "Dressy" thread here.

Has me wondering if I too should get one of their's to avoid that contrast.

I already have a Clergy Kilt from FC, hence I ordered the Fly Plaid from there. They have a great variety of tartans and their service has improved greatly.

Different weavers, dye-lots, etc. make for different shades of what is the same colour, so ordering tartan bits of the 'same' tartan, but from different places is always a coin toss. My Granny was a seamstress, so she explained it to me over & over.

I ordered the Kilt from Stillwater, as I just plain like their instant delivery, and their products. I reckon if they had more variety of tartans, I'd probably deal with them exclusively.
I can't think what went terribly wrong! I ordered from SWK yesterday afternoon, went and waited on the porch, but it's still not here!! I fear Somnething in the Universe has shifted.... be afraid-be very, very afraid.!

LOL. SWK will usually have the kilt on your doorstep in now longer than 3 days. There have been LOTS of instances of people getting them in 2 days which is great. And that's just regular shipping, nothing special.

I've been gearing some good things about FC lately again though, and I'm looking forward to seeing some upcoming reviews on their current customer service and product. There are 2-3 different kilts that I'd like to purchase that they carry, and I believe I will when i've got the money again.

I've got 8 kilts now, and I only need a couple hundred more.

I ordered fomr both company's on Thursday 24th
Stillwater Leatherneck kilt, AND Frugal Corner Clergy Flyplaid both arrived just this minute, Mon. 28th. the boxes being juggled by a small Mail lady.

How's that for great service? Jerry of course is always speedy, but Mark came through like a champion!.

LOL. I ordered from Jerry late Friday night. The kilt arrived Monday morning. I am in Florida. He is in Minnesota.

Oh, and the Black Watch is great and fits like a glove.

Now, if I can only convince him to carry the Galbraith tartan... ;)
