Old butcher knife blade to sgian dubh?

I'm waiting for a sgian from Raptor - your pictures just jump-started my jones again.

In the meantime, I bought a Dulaney hunting knife on eBay and intend to have Steve Frazier at Oconee Leather Works make a sgian sheath for it. The sheath it came with is beautiful, but a little bulky for the sock top. The blade is 4 1/4" long which is a tad long for a sgian dubh, but I think I'll just suffer with it as is.
