Thumbs up a pretty good shirt pattern

This Burda pattern #8461 is a lot less costumey than most of the shirts you can buy. The sleeves and body aren't real puffy, so you don't have that ahoy matey look, but the neckline and collar are distinctly of the Jacobite/ghillie style. I think you can wear this one without being asked, "Where's the RenFest today?"

There's a shirt in that picture?

That IS a really good looking. . . shirt. Yeah, shirt, that's what I've been staring at for five minutes!

Actually it is a nice pattern. Once I noticed it. Thanks!

P.S. Don't anybody tell Bigdad1 about this post, OK? Keep it our little secret?

It is a nice looking shirt, but I just can't get into the lace-up collar look. Must be just me.

You don't have to lace up the collar, or the front slit either. You can just leave it open and let them swoon over your chest hair.

Right! Whay to have lace if you already have "lace" on your chest?

Thanks for finding it. I've been looking for a Jacobite shirt pattern and I couldn't this particular pattern. Do you know if Hancock or JoAnns carries Burda patterns?

JoAnns sells Burda patterns. I think Hancock does as well but can't remember for sure.

I like that one! I really like that it includes a ladies' style. Unfortunately, it's been nowhere to be seen at Joann's or Hancock when I manage to get to one (there isn't one within a 2 hour radius. lol)
