OK, I finally got my things together (actually, got the computer working again - $#*! Microsoft!), so I thought I'd post a few of my pictures from the Long's Peak Highland festival.

Here's the X-Marks bunch (those of us who found each other, that is). From the left, Livingston, Mael Coluim, HeathBar, me, McNulty. Mudd and family stopped by after this picture was taken. It was great to meet all of you. Hope to see you again sometime down the road.

It wouldn't be a festival without a parade or two. Here's the start of a clan parade (I think) from Saturday afternoon.

My kids were big fans of the jousting. I was too, for that matter.

The kids also really liked the trebuchets - this one was the biggest, and it was hurling bowling balls into the middle of the lake periodically. Here, it's just about ready to fire.

Here's something you don't see every day.

More pictures from Long's Peak festival - you won't see these everyday.

This gentleman was kind enough to produce a nice pose.

    A Roman Centurion? Well, OK.

    A hurdy-gurdy!

I'm not sure what was up with the wig and all, but this guy seemed happy.

All in all, a really fun day. I wish I could have gone for more than just Saturday, but alas. I'm already looking forward to next year!

Well guys, I know this is late, but...

You see, we use this old style of camera that uses something called "photographic film" to expose the pictures. And then the pictures need to be "developed" at a special place after all of the pictures on the "roll" are taken. And it took us a little time to finish the roll and get that all done.

Anyway, here's my edition of pictures from the most beautiful highland festival in the world. The most beautiful one that I attend each year, that is.

First, here's the rabble again, including my daughter:

Some guy walking around who had really small feet and long (and harry) legs. Maybe I should have told him that your Kilt shouldn't extend below the knees:

And here's a photo of a guy, that I thought I recognized, with his beautiful wife and a baby stuck on his back. I think he was there selling modern style kilts, or something:

And, this is the reason we don't stick around at the festival for the evening festivities. This is where we spent the night. You can see my daughter on a rock out in the creek. Mr. McNulty was staying just a few hundred yards down the creek:

Here's another shot of the Lodge. (We really like this place):

That's it. Sorry these are so late.
