That's one of the reasons I didn't put a clock in my "sweat shop." If I say how long I worked on something for myself rather than do something else, I think I'd burn out too.

Well, I put the small hems in the first pleat and the underapron of my wool StillWater kilt yesterday. Also decided to do a little tweeking on the kilt jacket and waistcoat I converted from a suit a few months ago. It needs interfacing in the hems...
I also transplanted several elephant food plants. Now I need an elephant.

You know it's time to go to bed when...
- When you've memorized the BBC news loop on the public radio station.
- You don't make a pot of coffee, you need caffeine now and start chewing coffee beans.
- You hit refresh on xmarksthescot and you've written the last 4 (or more) posts.

I just spent 30 minutes hand pleating a sash for my wife, and filling my coffee cup with pins as I removed them..
I think when you start drinking the pins in your coffee cup.

Barb's book reached my hands this morning, I got my F&K fabric last Thursday, light grey blend and the 13oz MacBeth(something to look forward to). I expect my badger any day and printed out the fox/car thread to help me through that process.
I've also been working on heavy canvas Rob Roy sporrans based on the pattern in the Thompson book. My black Xkilt is almost done, I had to rip out the topstitching on the last three pleats because I apparently measured only the once, fortunately no cutting was involved. Once I restitch those, I'll post pics of the kilt with the sporran.
I fell asleep in front of the TV with a kilt and a seam ripper in my lap last night.

Last night, I pinned up a very dark gray suit jacket and waistcoat to kilt lenghth. The suit doesn't have well matching trousers, and I just bought three new used suits from good will that will meet my suit needs. That opens up this ill-matched suit for conversion. It is an otherwise good jacket and waistcoat with fairly good interfacing and structuring inside including floating hair canvas shields in the shoulders. It should make a good, dressy kilt jacket if I do a good job with the conversion.
Tired, yes, but glad I don't have to worry about finding matching trousers for that suit, and the suit I bought to replace it is a bit nicer too.
