For gods sake, pleat your kilts!!

OK, so I went to http://www.thelivinggoddess.com/witch_ball.html last night. It was a great time, a great party... but for Gods sake, if you're going to wear a great kilt or an ancient kilt, PLEAT IT!!!! Argh!! It was the same at the Ren Fest! It drives me nuts. If you're going to wear something, do a little research and do it right! Of all the ancient style kilts there, mine was the ONLY one with pleats! Is it really so difficult? I mean seriously! I saw someone wearing Thomson grey tartan. If you're actually going to spend the money on that much tartan, why not learn to wear it correctly?

OK... I'm done... It was just something I had to rant about. As a reenactor, it's one of my pet peaves...

    You didn't say please.

I know what you mean. I've seen ones that make you wonder if it's a great kilt or just a blanket wrapped around them.

And now I know who to ask if I ever need (or want) to wear one; of course it's Nighthawk, who else. Any pictures of that outfit with the new fly you're working on yet?

My biggest complaint is that they think that they are accurate.

Not yet. It was so hot at the party we went to that we didn't stay long, so no. No pictures. On Halloween, I'll get a few.

Actually, I'm not all that good at it. I either use cheaters, or cleverly disguise a modern kilt. I can do it, in two different styles... but if I can be lazy, I will!!

It's the historically accurate representation of the guy who didn't know how to wear a kilt.
