The Mighty XMTSAS Saltire has landed in Storrington!

His Lairdship himself is tending to the zeppelin himself!

Well, this evening is January 16th, 2009, and the Saltire has returned to it's home port for tomorrow's evening of festivity and merriment. No doubt the photos will be amazing, and all of us beyond the bay area will be plaid with envy.

My hope is that this is not the end of the little airship's travels. There is still so much of the wide world to see and do!

Jamie, once the Saltire has rested and recovered from her latest exertions, please see to it that she is refitted with provisions and sent on her way once more, to warm the hearts and fill the threads of many more X-Markers!

Slainte, ya'll. Have fun tomorrow night!!!

Somehow I dont' think this is the end of the Saltire's travels. There are still too many Burns Suppers, Pub Crawls, Beaches, Breweries, Distilleries, Kilt Shops, Palaces, Cathedrals, Aquariums....did I say Pubs? to have adventures in.

Methinks the Saltire has acquired a bit of the travel lust.

    This is a good thing.

I wrote this in Hamish's "Farewell to the Saltire thread" but I think it bears repeating

The Nor Cal Rabble look forward to welcoming her home from her adventures in Canada, Wales, and England.

Our zeppelin's return to the Bay Area of California will be celebrated at our Nor Cal Rabble Burns' Night Supper.

But she shall not tarry here long. For as Tennyson once wrote:

"How dull it is to pause, to make an end,
To rust unburnished, not to shine in use!"

The XMTSAS Saltire's mission is is to "Travel in Friendship" and there are many wonderful places for her to go and many excellent members of our forum to visit with.

This particular voyage may be coming to an end.

But the Flight of the Saltire goes on!

    Cheers

    Jamie
