    I'm not a big fan of predominantly red kilts, but that MacPherson pleated to the stripe as you have shown it here is really striking.

    This rule applies for all garments in general and not only for kilts pleated to no stripe. You should check how the pleating looks (like Barb is suggesting) but you have to have in mind how the kilt wearer looks like, too. My 1/4 cent.

    I think that is the most diplomatically said way of describing those of us of larger than average proportions---"heroically figured". Mind if I use that?
