    First Kilt on the Way

So, I finally ordered my first kilt. The kilt is the standard Irish National Tartan from SWK. With it, I ordered a leather sporran, a kilt hanger, and a sporran hanger. I also ordered a belt, buckle, and kilt pin from scotweb.co.uk. The pin and buckle are both of my family crests(O'Neill). So, any comments, and do you guys think I ordered well for a first kilt? Any comment would be appreciated.

You will need two hangers for the kilt.. And I personally like wearing a solid leather belt for my sporran, Jerry sells them too. I think you done well, Jerry sells a decent kilt to get started with.. You have the acessories down, only you did not mention kilt hose..

With a name like O'Neill how could you go wrong ordering the Irish National. SWK makes a great kilt which should stead you well. The other stuff sounds fine although we need pictures when the whole outfit is assembled---on xmarks, no pictures, it never happened. I think you chose two very good and reputable companies to deal with, both sponsors here at xmarks.

So, yeah, ya' dun good, me boy.

As FM says, pics will say it best... but it does seem like you've ordered well.

    Congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Right, I'll post pics as soon as everything is together. Thanks for telling me I'll need two kilt hangers. That's helps a lot. Any other tips will be wonderful. Oh yeah, I've had a few too many to drink at the moment, so if i spell anything wrong, I'm very sorry. Thanks for the comment on the O'Neill family and the Irish National Tartan. I plan on getting the O'Neill Clifford from scotweb, but it's a bit too soon. Gráim thú everyone.

I believe I have kilt hose that will fit either form my military socks or my traditional hose my grandfather gave me. Thanks for the mention.

you can buy hangers at Walmart... pretty reasonable.. I have them for my kilts... I think mine are made from bamboo too..if you want to take a cheaper option...
