There's a kilt in the Petticoat Lane sequence in Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

I know this film is on the Bagpipes in the Movies webby, but it deserves honorable mention here as it was my introduction to the pipes and the kilt:
Wee Willie Winkie, with Shirley Temple.

The Ghost Goes West-- not only a kilted ghost, but an entire kilted dinner party at the end of the picture. If you want to see how the kilt is properly worn with black tie, this is it.
(note to tubby guys: the very rotund Eugene Palette (co-starring in the film) should become your Highland fashion icon.)

A horrible film, but it features late-in-their-film-careers Michael Caine and Roger Moore in kilts - Bullseye! (1990). Try not to see it unless you liked the Love Boat TV series.

I'd hardly call 1990 "late in their careers"-- Michale Caine debuted in ZULU in 1964, twenty-five years before he made BULLSEYE! in 1989. Twenty years on he's still acting in films, so I'd say BULLSEYE! was pretty much mid-career for Mr. Caine. (Proving that good actors can survive anything, even dreadful films like BULLSEYE! which, I believe, finished Michael Winner's career as a director.)
"The Love Boat" is currently syndicated in 126 markets world-wide, which ain't half bad from my point of view. Right now we are working on a musical version which we hope to have on stage in 2012.
Oh wait. That's when the world is supposed to explode or something, innit?
Oh Dear.

Both were past their prime in 1990, IMHO; but to your credit, it's just dawning on me that 1990 is almost 20 years ago. Maybe you could get Michael Caine to make a cameo in your musical.
