You can't swing a dead skunk sporran without offending someone around here; it's an art form.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

As an example of "Don't do this!" you might be right...!

I'm not keen on the look, it's got so many mixed styles that it comes off as an unhappy amalgam.
Some time ago we had a Do and Don't thread , and it got so out of hand with personal attacks that it was stopped, long after it should have been.
Most of us on here can spot style or dress errors and inconsistencies, I am only suggesting that we should try to be kind, a velvet glove not an iron fist, that's all
I understand what you are saying. Thanks for your reply.

I don't know, what I tend to see all too often are people who assume someone feels offended simply because they happen to disagree with something that was posted.
There is a huge difference between disagreeing with someone and being offended by someone.
There are frequently posts made that contain statements I disagree with (some of which I reply to, others of which I do not). But only rarely have I ever read something here which truly offended me.

You're right Matt.
I do still wonder if this is really an attempt at historical costume, or if it was a phantasy costume. Realizing, of course, lots of people get the two mixed up.
