#4 is complete, with only the toggles and cabochon remaining, which I hope to do on Friday as I BBQ for 18hrs (for father's day, my dad's a big pulled pork fan). I'm leaning toward the Ebony, even though it's SOOOOO hard to work compared to the Cocobola.
BTW: I decided to go for the laced edge on #4 as well, I really do like the feel and weight of the braid. Especially after the re-assurance of those who've followed this thread that it isn't OTT.
I've re-tooled a few bits, the rear stitching for the bag-back and inner panel now mesh up, so there's only one seam. I've revised placement on the eyelets as well.
Hopefully pix will be up Friday of both the new rear stitching and the completed bag.
