Coat with Trews?

But always with a Prince Charlie coatee, which I, personally, don't really like much with the kilt - let alone trews!

I tend to agree with you, however, the Kinloch-Anderson coatee has three buttons near the bottom of the jacket, which looks far better than your standard 'Prince Charlie' coatee in my opinion. I have posted a photo below. Y

Regular style tartan trews with an Argyll style jacket and 5-button tartan waistcoat (not cut on the bias), for a less highly formal look.


Fishtail style trews with coatee, 3-button tartan waistcoat cut on the bias - note the Chelsea boots.
