(There are branches of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society throughout the world.)

I have been SC Dancing (and Highland Dancing) since I was fourteen, David, and I am now 67. I am a Life Member of the RSCDS and, in the 1960s/70s I danced with the London Branch Demonstration Team here in the UK.
Unfortunately, I have not danced for several years as the group members around here are too geriatric to dance properly - some just walk through the movements and really do not 'dance' at all! I have investigated some five or six groups/clubs to no avail, and so reluctantly pulled back from it all.

However, I agree. With the right people (and possibly a regular partner) it can be the greatest fun, and is certainly fine exercise.

This was me, in 1969, in the arena at The Royal Albert Hall, London.
