Barb, I think I understand warrior's post. Finding an off the rack USMC kilt is not difficult. Not so much for the other services. And there is at least one entire thread here for USMC kilts. I don't recall ever coming across one for any of the other services.
There are posts of fellow service members proudly showing their personal service kilts, but they are a bit few and far between. Bigdad1 makes a valid point. We Marines are not shy about advertising our affiliation and tend to gravitate to each other. Then the party starts.
I personally would like to see a couple of threads dedicated to the other service tartans, and to see the other kilt makers/sellers, make the other service tartans affordable for the casual wearer.
But I don't know if there is the demand. Back to Bigdad. All service members are proud, and rightly so, of their service. Marines however, revel in it.
