Thanks for the pictures! Your observations about the number of kilts seen do not surprise me in the least. You may have just missed the company of the Highland Midge, but had you met him and his fifty billion wives(apparently(?) its the female midge that bites) you would discover one of the main reasons why the kilt is not worn in the Highlands at this time of year! In truth, the locals just do not wear their one £4/5/600 kilt to work, so sighting a Scottish kilt in the wild is actually a noteworthy event. Have fun.
