Well, I'm not a large calved man, but looking at those hose, I wonder how they would look on me. While my calves are relatively normal sized, my kilt hose have to go over my AFOs (ankle-foot orthoses). They make my legs look a big and bulky - and lumpy in the front where the hooks go up the front and tie at the top. The cream colored kilt hose I have don't do much for covering up my lumpy legs, or the blackness of the braces. Those hose look like they are heavier weight than the pair I have, and the cables at the top certainly would be nice! But I'm not a gentleman and I don't have large calves (just an extra layer of leather covering them!)
