It doesn't seem that long ago that when out and about I often preferred to avoid populated places - being still a little conscious of being in a kilt. The places I enjoyed most were in the country or in the mountains.

That is quickly changing, I now find that i seek out populated places so i can "show off" the kilt.

Tonight my wife and I attended a "bush dance" sponsored by a local church. I found myself walking into a hall full with about 200 people, I was the only one kilted.
It was a nice feeling to be aware of being in a kilt, you can never not be that - and enjoying the experience as ever, but yet not the least bit embarrassed or shy about being kilted.

For those who are new to kilting, I would like to reiterate that the experience of wearing a kilt in new places and situations just gets better the more you do it.
