This is my new sporran from Donnie at Wyvern Leatherworks. I had in mind a nautical theme [I'm a Submarine veteran] without resorting to unit emblems or rank insignia. The "monkey's fist" is a knot we used often during line handling and four of them take the place of tassels. The front panel is blue stingray and the cantle is hand tooled leather. A lot of people say your dress sporran should have a white metal cantle, I disagree. this is going to me my go to sporran for dressier events. In the kilted pic it is shown against the US Navy [Edzel] tartan, one of Rocky's Semi-Trads. I hope you like seeing it as much as I am going to like wearing it.
